What to wear: Semi-formal or formal

Most weddings today fall into these two categories – it’s either a formal or semi-formal event.  A traditional evening wedding with a dinner reception, unless noted otherwise, is typically going to be a formal event.  The ladies seem to have it a lot easier when it comes to dressy attire – almost everything works for us!  Whether it’s formal or semi-formal, a cocktail length dress is appropriate.  Pair it with a super fun pair of heels and nice accessories and you’re ready to walk out the door.  For men, a formal evening event warrants wearing a dark colored suit and tie.  If semi-formal is the way to go, a suite is still necessary, but mix it up a bit and wear a light grey or khaki paired with a dress shirt and tie.
