Real Weddings: Amanda and Rob

I had the pleasure of working with Amanda and Rob on details for their big day.  As their wedding coordinator I was able to walk beside them as they picked out and finalized all of the details – from the big picture items to the super detailed tasks.  The one item we didn’t order was the scattered rain showers…

Just as the ceremony musicians began to play the processional music the skies opened up and gave us quite the shower!  Luckily all of the guests were already under the huge tent we had in place – all we needed to do was get the bridal party and parents from the house to the tent without getting wet.  After a quick scramble to open 10 umbrellas we had waiting in the wings we were able to get everyone down the aisle dry and happy!

It was true teamwork between the staff from Epic Motion, Melissa Patterson Gallery, and my company, Flourish Event Design to keep our equipment dry and clean while never missing a moment of the action!  (All the equipment was dry – but we were soaked!)

Needless to say, it was an eventful ceremony!!  After the ceremony we all headed to Lovett Hall for a stunningly beautiful reception where Mike Staff Productions kept the party going until the early hours of the morning.

Somehow Epic Motion was able to create this cool same day edit and play it DURING the reception!  Just as guests were finishing dessert the lights started to dim… and BOOM – this starts playing!  No one knew it was about to start (which made the surprise even better)…  I got a few strange looks from the parents as the lights went down, but by the end everyone was clapping and in complete awe.  It was a really great moment!
